Following the success of the recent editions of the Party Pooper competition and the launch of Make It Weird, we’re bringing it back for a second edition!
The second edition of the Make It Weird competition will take place on Saturday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the historic Marché Maisonneuve – 4375 Ontario St E, Montreal.
Strangeness and absurdity take center stage.
Inspired by the festival’s popular screening night, Make It Weird follows the same rules as Party Pooper, but opens things up to a broader spectrum of genre cinema – welcoming an even more diverse group of filmmakers.
This year’s theme: POSITIONS OF POWER.
Participants were invited to submit a strange, absurd, or offbeat short film of 5 minutes or less, with a budget limit of $200.
A quirky object – different for each edition – was also imposed as part of the challenge.
An external jury will determine the winning short for the Make It Weird competition. Judges will be announced soon.
Make It Weird and L’Espace Public have a special surprise planned for this edition, just like last time.
