Tamás Rolfesz

Country: Hungary

I was born in Budapest in 1995, and I have lived here my entire life. I completed my studies at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, both in the bachelor's and master's programs. It was here that I directed my first short film, Missing Parts. After obtaining my degree, I began working in the field of VFX.
In terms of my creative interests, I’ve always been drawn to topics that depart from reality. This is why I feel most at home when working within genres like science fiction, fantasy, or horror. Besides filmmaking, I also have a strong interest in video game development and digital music composition.

Richard Rotter

Richard Rotter is an Emmy-nominated, Rockie, and CSA Award-winning director, writer, and editor based in Toronto. Known for blending emotional depth with genre thrills, he’s directed for Discovery, NBC, A&E, and VICE—shaping stories everywhere from the dusty garages of Vegas Rat Rods to the raw realities of Intervention, Hoarders, and Dark Side of the 90s. His background in unscripted TV sharpened his eye for authenticity—and made him very comfortable with chaos.

His horror work leans into the visceral and the psychological. He co-wrote and directed the thriller web series Damaged, which earned Best Interactive Series at the Rockie Awards and a Canadian Cinema Editors nomination. His 2024 short Blood Line, executive produced by Vincenzo Natali, was nominated for Best Short Film at the DGC Awards and selected by over a dozen festivals including Macabro in Mexico City, Another Hole in the Head, and Toronto After Dark.

Now, he’s back in the bloodbath with Meat Crayon—a grisly, art-infused slasher short that drags parental guilt through a box of broken crayons. He’s also in development on his next feature, Blood Clot, about a group of social workers uncovering a vampire-run homeless encampment. He likes his monsters emotional, his villains complex, and his horror served with a sharp satirical edge.
