Shooting-Director Joe Fereday is renowned for his high-end cinematography and impactful storytelling in the natural history and factual docs space. He was part of the Emmy award winning Cinematography team for 'David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet' and has been travelling all over the globe filming on location for over 10 years.
More recently, Joe has come off of working on Netflix's 'Life on our Planet' which was a co-pro with Amblin, ILM and Silverback and Exec Produced by Stephen Spielberg. He secured funding for the short film called Rodent last year, which has been picked up by the esteemed strategists Festival Formula, who have added it to their slate for the festival circuit 2024/25.
He's no stranger to filming in unusual places including Chernobyl, VFX dinosaurs millions of years ago, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Orangutans in Sumatra and flamingos in the Atacama mountains at 16000ft. And now, for this short film, an unused shop unit in Bristol.
Joe is currently working on a follow up series, Spielberg's, 'Life on Our Planet 2' (name TBC) for Netflix at Silverback Films. He is always keen to blur genres and push boundaries.
