Michael Dondero & Shengnan Dong


Michael Dondero:

Michael Dondero is an Emmy-award winning filmmaker, animator and writer based in Brooklyn, New York. As a storyteller, Michael embraces a variety of techniques including live-action video, stop-motion animation, audio-dramas, and photography. His work explores comfort through discomfort, finding humor and liberation in silly moments where embarrassment and self-seriousness collide.

With over ten years experience in the film and television industry, Michael’s background includes working behind the scenes on independent documentaries for PBS, and studio and network TV shows, such as Ray Donovan, Mr. Robot and High Maintenance. Michael graduated from Penn State University with a degree in English and Spanish, and later obtained his MFA in Computer Arts from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York. In addition to filmmaking, he is also a short fiction author and the co-creator of the audio drama series The Lost Signal Society. He enjoys horror films, hiking and spending time at the Jersey Shore.

Shengnan Dong:

Shengnan Dong is an artist based in New York who mainly focuses on creating 3D character design and fabrication using illustrations, modeling, and sculpting techniques. She aims to build an exciting world filled with amusing and adorable characters for her audience to enjoy. Since she was a kid, she has loved to experiment with all kinds of media and learn new things that could expand her world of art creation.

She grew up with exposure to animations and cartoons from various countries and cultural backgrounds, which inspired her work to become stylized, cartoony, and full of color. She graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a dual degree in game design and fine art and now is obtained her master’s degree at SVA (School of the Visual Arts) in computer arts.

 

Olivia Griselda, Sarah Cheok

OLIVIA GRISELDA is a Singapore-based, Indonesia-born writer, director, and producer. She co-directed the short film “She and Her Good Vibrations” with animation filmmaker Sarah Cheok. Her other directing words include experimental dance short “Rite of Passage” and romantic drama short "Just Because We're Friends."

SARAH CHEOK is a Singaporean animation filmmaker. She loves designing and creating imaginary worlds while constantly striving for more opportunities to learn and experiment with the art form. Her film "The Growth" screened at various festivals including Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film, Digicon6 (winner of Next Generation Award), Cartoons Underground (winner of Best Singapore Student Animation), and Indie-AniFest. She is a graduate of the BA (Hons) Animation Art programme at LASALLE College of the Arts.

Moon Abbott

Moon Abbott (they/them/theirs) is a non-binary creative with a focus in writing and filmmaking currently based in Chicago, IL but originally from the metro-Detroit area. They have a Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema Art + Science with a Minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Columbia College Chicago. Their creative work often examines the concepts of gender and sexuality from various, authentic, and historical perspectives. Their portfolio includes a plethora of award-winning short films, screenplays, stage plays, and published articles and analyses. They are also the co-founder of a Chicago-based film festival called New Generation Filmmakers Forum.

Charlie Agadjanian

Alexandra Geneviève Agar

Alexandra Geneviève Agar started her career as a camera assistant in Miami, Florida on commercials and music videos. After moving to Los Angeles in 2020, she worked as a camera operator for Showtime, Hulu and HBO documentaries. She graduated in 2024 from the American Film Institute Conservatory with a Master of Fine Arts in cinematography.

EXQUISITE CORPSE is her directorial debut. Agar also served as the cinematographer of the film, which was shot on 35mm motion picture film generously donated by Kodak, with camera gear donated by Panavision and the AFI Conservatory.

When she’s not on set, you can find her growing native milkweed plants to support Monarch butterflies or rollerskating along the LA River.
