Max Hicks is a film maker from Wales presently based in London. In addition to making films, Max runs his own guitar effects pedal business and occasionally moonlights as a film extra. He is also a musician, mostly playing bass and singing in rock bands, and draws many of his ideas from the kaleidoscopic Welsh counterculture he grew up in. Max is due to graduate from Kingston University with an MA in Film Making. Doombox was his dissertation film.

As mostly commercial 3D artist and director for more than 10 years, he finally dipped his toes into the pool of 3D filmmaking and started to produce short movies in 2024. Enjoying the storytelling and also light hearted comedic nature of the stories mostly written by himself.
