Nessie Stafford (she/they) is a transgender filmmaker, writer, and comedian specializing in making bizarre, transgressive, and sometimes downright goofy genre films- films that defy expectations- films that shock, amaze, and titillate even the most curmudgeonly of audiences- the exact kind of film that people wanna watch, and that you should totally program in your festival. ;)
She is a co-founder of the film collective Ghoul Capone Pictures, and has served as a screenwriting lab intern at Outfest 2021, & as a Judge at the San Diego Environmental Film Festival in 2024 and 2025.

Alisa is an award-winning filmmaker who loves using the power of animation to tell genre stories. She has over a decade of experience as an animator, fabricator, and designer for children’s television, commercials, music videos, and social media content. Her short films have screened at dozens of festivals all over the world. Alisa graduated from Pratt Institute with a degree in film and animation and still lives in Brooklyn.
