Diego Solano Flores

Born on April 5, 1998, in Mexico City, Diego Solano Flores is an artist specialized in animation and drawing. He currently works at LÍNEA 2, an experimental animation studio, where he has done works for Marv Newland (exhibition), Alejandra Márquez Abella and Francis Alys (experimental animation).

In 2022 he made his first animated short film called Florecen las Alturas, which has been selected and awarded at several national and international festivals such as ANIMASIVO, CutOut Fest, Pixelatl, Animaura (MX), L&NAF Festival, Animex Screen (USA), Animakon Fest (ESP), BITBAN (ARG), and Chilemonos (CL), in which he received second place in the student category.

Vadir Sottelo

Vadir Sottelo is a visionary film director in the horror, fantasy and suspense genres with a unique focus on human rights. As an independent artist, he has developed an innovative narrative style that challenges genre conventions and raises profound reflections on the human condition.

With a career marked by experimentation and innovation, Sottelo has created a cinematic universe that is both terrifying and thoughtful. His narrative is characterized by its complexity and its ability to fuse elements of horror, fantasy, drama and social criticism. His characters are multidimensional and are often inspired by stories of struggle and resistance. The atmosphere in his films is tense and oppressive, but there is also a sense of hope and resilience that permeates all his work.

He has exhibited his works and has been nominated in large and diverse International Film Festivals in countries such as: Germany, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, the United States, Spain, Scotland, El Salvador, France, Mexico, India, Italy and Venezuela.

Highlighting his awards in: Best Fiction Short Film and Best Art Direction at PREMIOS LATINO 2016 in Marbella, Spain, as well as the outstanding merit for Best Special Effects at the Global Short Film Awards 2016 in Cannes, France, and Best Feature Film at Espanto film fest, in Mexico City in 2023.

I began directing from an early age and after winning praise from the National Science and Media Museum in Yorkshire for a short film project I moved to London aged 22. The next five years saw me direct work for various TV broadcasters before making the leap to become a freelance director.

Over a decade later I have directed commercials in the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA working with brands that include Sony Playstation, Nike, Cadbury, O2 Telefonica, Michelob, Vauxhall, Mitsubishi and Samsung.

I have also been driven to expand my narrative work and this can be seen in his short films. ‘Devil Makes Work’, starring Shaun Dooley received a Vimeo Staff Pick, and it was selected for over 40 film festivals around the world including Raindance, Sitges, One Screen, DragonCon and BAFTA accredited Leeds International. ‘God’s Kingdom’ starring Alistair Petrie, Anthony Flanagan and Mark Wingett was featured on Vimeo's Narrative Category Page and the YouTube channel ALTER where it has pulled in over 550,000 views.

My latest short film ‘A Sickness’ starring David Langham (His Dark Materials) has just been finished and I am is in the early stages of pre-production on a new short film called ‘Provisions’.

She is a co-founder of the film collective Ghoul Capone Pictures, and has served as a screenwriting lab intern at Outfest 2021, & as a Judge at the San Diego Environmental Film Festival in 2024 and 2025.
